Steve joins us on Communicating Without Words
Unlike many people who pursue careers in the entertainment industry, Steve had no interest in that career growing up. Originally from Maryland, Steve was focused on pursuing a career in law enforcement. But one day when leaving class at the University of Maryland (College Park) He saw a row of white trailers on campus and decided to check it out. They were filming a movie and were looking for students to be extras. Since he was done with class for the day he thought it would be fun to be in a “Hollywood movie”. That was all it took. He knew this was the career field he was meant to be
in. When the semester ended he decided not to return, but instead move to Los Angeles to pursue acting. He booked a few gigs here and there but was not a fan of sitting around waiting for auditions. He decided to create projects for himself to star in. His first short film was a disaster so he decided that maybe it was best to first take some classes on making films and THEN try again.
The short films lead to creating a few webseries and then to creating comedy sketches on Instagram. He recently shot his first feature, a suspense thriller and silent film and is currently in post production on that with an expected release in 2022. This will be the first of many films he wants to create.
