Melon Chris Davis

Melon Chris Davis is currently a tattooer and shop owner of End Of Days Tattoo on Colfax, in the heart of Denver, and partner/owner of Bonaroo Tattoo in Parker and Aurora, CO.

He started his tattoo journey in 2004, apprenticing under Dirty Dan Barker at Bonaroo Tattoo in Aurora. In 2008 he went to Hawaii on his first real vacation as an adult and fell in love with the island of Maui. He did everything he could to get back to the island. There, he worked with an amazing team of tattooers at Hot Rod Ink. Family stuff brought him back home within a year, but he kept his eye on getting better and better. He worked for a few years in Denver before purchasing the shops he apprenticed at. Bonaroo Tattoo was still fresh under his belt when the opportunity came to purchase the location of the oldest shop in Denver. Considering that was where his mentor worked when they met, he could not pass on the opportunity. As nod to the history of the Emporium Of Design, he named the shop End Of Days.

The rest is history.

In the years before tattooing, Melon held a lot of jobs. A LOT! He was a chicken fryer, a janitor, an in-home nurse’s assistant, a waiter, bartender, door guy, brand ambassador for Bacardi/Dewars, and a scotch Ambassador for Johnnie Walker and the Classic Malts. Jack of all trades they say.

His wife will roll her eyes as he regales his friends with sordid tails from his past. She’s heard them all. From hunting shark in the gulf coast to teaching seminars on how to drink scotch whisky, it seems he’s done just about everything. Although he’s lived a lot, there are plenty of adventures still to come!
