Lorraine Watry is a Colorado contemporary realist painter of wildlife, landscapes, and reflective objects. Lorraine's watercolors are characterized by bright colors, dramatic light and realistic reflections. Lorraine likes the challenge of painting reflections in water, glass, and metal. Recently she has combined her love of birds, photography, and watercolor to take images of birds in water and their natural settings to paint.

Lorraine has a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Colorado in Boulder. She designed clip art at a graphics company for several years and has worked with watercolor for 26 years. Lorraine currently teaches watercolor to classes and workshops at her studio, at local and out of state venues, and she is looking at starting some online watercolor classes. Her YouTube channel has over 2 million views.

In 2018, Lorraine was filmed for the Australian Art Show - Colour In Your Life and shared with over 300 TV stations and outlets around the world.

Lorraine has achieved Signature Status in the National Watercolor Society, American Women Artists, and the Rocky Mountain National Watercolor Society among others. Her paintings have juried into many National and International Exhibitions and won prestigious awards. Two of Lorraine's paintings were selected for Splash 14 and Splash 20, the Best of Watercolor book series and she illustrated the
children's book, For I Am Yours, by Pauline Hawkins.
