"Ever since I was a child I was inspired by the puppets and creature effects of movies like The Neverending Story, The Labyrinth and Return of the Jedi. I was always doing creative things like making short films as a kid and learning traditional and stop-motion animation in high school. I studied costume design and fabrication at CU Boulder. It was then that I also discovered my love for making art dolls. My creatures, costumes and replica props have been displayed at the Boulder International Film Festival, the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art and the Center for Puppetry Arts. In May of 2017 I was hired to work at Jim Henson’s Creature shop on the Netflix original series, Dark Crystal Age of Resistance. Since then I've been working as a freelance artist fabricating puppets for theatre productions in Colorado, honing my skills with polymer clay and working on short film projects."
