Nick Grossaint - Artistic Director

Nick is an Actor by trade and is now the current artist director of the Grassroots Shakespeare Company. Nick is passionate about promoting arts in the community and is proud of the people he gets to work with at Grassroots. Nick’s favorite roles include, Dromeo of Syracuse, Banquo and Saturninus. 

Jessamyn Svensson - Director of Development

Jessamyn Svensson joined Grassroots Shakespeare Co. in 2010 as a founding member. Through her time with the company she has shaken tambourines, sold tickets, stamped hands, counted audiences, cried, fought, tricked, and been disemboweled in several shows, and also got to direct one, 2017's Halloween bloodfest "Coriolanus."

 

Currently serving as the Director of Development on staff, Jessamyn has loved the many hats she's worn to help spread the love of original practice inspired Shakespeare with Grassroots. 

Robert Starks - Musical Director

Robert Ikey Starks has been the musical director of The Grassroots Shakespeare Company for 6 years (he thinks…) He’s been involved in some form (usually musically) since 2012. His favorite Grassroots Productions have been As You Like It (2014), Titus (2014), and Chris Clark’s adaptation of The Little Mermaid (2015). His favorite roles he’s played in Grassroots are Puck from A Midsummer Night’s Dream and First Witch from Macbeth.
