Velari is an Indie Electropop rebel based in Los Angeles whose monster beats and siren-esque vocals grab you by the heartstrings and won't let go. Fans compare Velari's unique contralto voice to Annie Lennox and Alison Moyet (Yaz) and describe her music as “a New Renaissance of music and art.” Her songwriting brings a heartfelt, inspiring perspective on life and love with some tongue-in-cheek quirkiness mixed in, reflective of her musical idols Tori Amos and Kate Bush.

Velari became singer-songwriter Cara Young's alter ego in 2011. Her pop-rock band, Inner Frequency, gained a strong local following in Dallas, TX, performing on Good Morning Texas, opening for Eddie Money, and releasing several Eps including “Surge,” produced by Will Hunt (Amy Lee of Evanescence, Nick Lachey, Burning Hotels). After they disbanded in 2011, and encouraged by legendary Platinum album producer Sylvia Massy (Tool, Johnny Cash, Red Hot Chili Peppers), Cara relocated to Los Angeles, began focusing on recording electronic-based music and became the artist Velari.
