Callixte “The City-Builder” Matala is a Congolese-Canadian business development expert with bases in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Mr. Matala’s career started in banking as a Commercial Account Manager at the largest financial institution in Canada. In this capacity, he worked with ultra-high net worth business clients who earned an annual income of 8-9 figures per year.
Upon ending his tenure in banking, Mr. Matala segued into real estate and launched a construction company that specialized in renovating commercial and residential properties.
In addition, he founded the Canada Business Expo Ltd, a consulting firm that helps businesses worldwide penetrate the African market. Some of Mr. Matala’s clients include companies with an annual revenue of $2 billion.
In 2020, Mr. Matala combined his passion for Africa, his expertise in banking, and his knack for business and real estate development to create Kingsridge––a technologically advanced city offering luxury housing at an affordable cost. Kingsridge is located in Kinshasa, the bustling capital of the Democractic Republic of the Congo, and will begin construction in
2021.
Mr. Matala is also the owner of a speciality medical clinic in Edmonton, Alberta that offers tele-health services and personalized care for patients suffering with a multitude of conditions. The clinic is one of very few in the world with the capacity to provide care in its specialty.
Mr. Matala is fluent in French, English, Lingala, and Swahili. His vast international network allows him to tap into a multitude of markets with ease. When he’s not working, he’s spending quality time with his wife and children.
